Plaintiff, 66, was struck on the highway when an uninsured driver struck another vehicle, causing it to strike Plaintiff’s vehicle in an adjacent lane. Plaintiff sustained a fractured sternum and spent a week in the hospital with an assortment of other body contusions. Plaintiff received $60,000.00 in total limits from his Uninsured Motorist Carrier and an additional $100,000.00 from a vehicle that struck his from behind subsequent to the impacts from the initial negligent driver. The electronic data recorder documentation was pulled from the vehicle showing the trailing vehicle was traveling 15 mph over the speed limits, prompting a tender of the policy limits for the less at fault driver. Total $160,000 settlement that included all available insurance limits.
